A political rally organized by strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party in Bihar descended into chaos as the crowd surged forward, not for political promises, but for plates of biryani. The incident, which has now gone viral on social media, has been dubbed the “Biryani Loot” by netizens.

The “Badlav Sabha” or “Rally for Change” was being held in Bahadurgunj, Bihar, and had drawn a large number of people. Arrangements for biryani were made for the attendees. However, the situation quickly spiraled out of control as the aroma of the rice dish filled the air. Forgetting the speeches, a significant portion of the crowd rushed towards the food, leading to a stampede-like situation.

Eyewitness accounts and viral videos show people jostling and pushing each other, breaking through lines and creating a complete breakdown of order. The frenzy for food overshadowed the political agenda of the rally, which Prashant Kishor was slated to address. The organizers were unable to control the massive crowd, leading to the abrupt disruption of the event.

The “Biryani Loot” has since become a subject of memes and discussions on social media platforms, with many commenting on the state of politics and the effectiveness of using food to attract crowds to rallies.
