Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s love story is a perfect example of how love conquers all. Despite being married for over three decades, their journey to the altar wasn’t easy.

Gauri Khan, now happily married to Shah Rukh Khan, recalled how they struggled to convince her parents to accept their union.

Initially, Gauri’s parents were not pleased with the idea of their daughter marrying a Muslim who wanted to pursue a career in acting.

In a 2008 episode of First Ladies hosted by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Gauri talked about how they decided to get married when they were very young, and it was challenging for her parents to accept the notion of an interfaith marriage.

Gauri also revealed that they changed Shah Rukh’s name to Abhinav to make her parents believe that he was Hindu. However, she admitted that it was a silly and childish thing to do.

Despite this, Gauri shared that celebrating festivals of both faiths was a wonderful experience for their children. Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam are their three children.

While Aryan is all set to make his debut as a writer in an upcoming web series, Suhana plans to follow in her father’s footsteps and enter the acting industry. She will be appearing in “The Archies,” directed by Zoya Akhtar.

Shah Rukh, on the other hand, has several projects in the pipeline, including Atlee’s ‘Jawan’ and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’.

Recently, Shah Rukh was seen in Kolkata, where he delighted his fans as Kolkata Knight Riders took on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 9th match of IPL 2023 at Eden Gardens. Shah Rukh was accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter.

Shah Rukh was dressed in a black hoodie and black pants, along with black shades. Several videos of the trio from Eden Gardens surfaced online.
