Panchayat Season 3 Review: A Blend of Humor, Emotions, and Power Play

Panchayat Season 3 Review: The battle between Pradhanji and the MLA that began in Season 2 continues in Season 3. With elections looming, the MLA has made life difficult for Pradhanji, Manju Devi, and the residents of Phulera, aided by the local betrayer Bhushan Sharma aka Banrakas. Meanwhile, Abhishek Tripathi aka Secretary Ji, who faced the wrath of the MLA, has almost lost his position. Will the residents of Phulera find new hope?

Panchayat 3 kicks off with Secretary Ji puffing away in the city. After the debacle, he moved away from Phulera and is now focusing on his studies, yet keeps a tab on the happenings back in Phulera. On the other hand, Pradhanji, Manju Devi, and Vikas are preparing a unique welcome for the new secretary. Prahlad, mourning his son, is in a worsening state, spending most of his time intoxicated and detached from the world. Meanwhile, Rinki’s affection for Secretary Ji blossoms.

Banrakas keeps a watchful eye on everyone, planning chaos with the MLA, who has no intention of facing Phulera’s residents. But when the opportunity arises, he’s ready to strike. Amidst this, Phulera witnesses much more. Panchayat 3 offers a mix of fun, comedy, and plenty of politics, alongside action and twists. The creators haven’t left any stone unturned in terms of emotions.

Performance

Starting with Jitendra Kumar, he has consistently performed his role excellently since the beginning and doesn’t disappoint this time either. Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta as Pradhanji and Manju Devi are fantastic. Their individual performances are excellent, and their bickering and fights are a delight to watch. Chandan Roy as Vikas holds his character firmly. Prahlad, this season, is the character that will bring tears to your eyes. Faisal Khan portrays the emotional and personality changes in his character brilliantly.

Durgesh Singh as Bhushan Sharma aka Banrakas evokes anger and frustration, indicating his excellent acting. Binod (Ashok Pathak) is as funny as ever, and Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar) is opportunistic as usual. The MLA remains as wicked as ever, and Pankaj Jha plays the role excellently. Actress Sanvika as Rinki is a bit irritating but good.

Director

Managing such a large cast, giving everyone ample screen time, and presenting any series in a unique yet familiar entertaining manner is no easy task. But filmmaker Deepak Kumar Mishra has accomplished this. He has done justice to Chandan Kumar’s writing, supported by Amitabh Singh’s cinematography. The twists in the series are excellent. Watching the new and old characters is as enjoyable as always. The series makes you laugh, cry, get angry, and even increase your heart rate at moments. The music enhances the enjoyment. Overall, the story of Phulera village will entertain you once again.
