Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments Firing Incident Linked to Gurugram? Learn Who the Suspected Shooter Is

Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai has come under scrutiny following a firing incident, with suspicions of a connection to Gurugram. CCTV footage suggests one of the two individuals seen firing outside Salman Khan’s residence may have connections to Gurugram. The seriousness of the matter has prompted Mumbai Police to take over the investigation. Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, has taken responsibility for the firing incident at Salman Khan’s residence, alleging it was orchestrated due to an old enmity by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to Delhi Police sources, the Mumbai Police filed an FIR on Sunday morning against two unidentified assailants who fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence. The police recovered a motorcycle about a kilometer away from the actor’s residence, raising suspicion of its involvement in the incident.

As per Bandra Police officials, an FIR has been registered under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) and the Arms Act against the unknown individuals. The incident, which occurred around 5 am outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, saw four rounds of gunfire before the assailants fled. Salman Khan resides in the same building.

One of the suspects, Vishal alias Kalu, is believed to be residing in Gurugram, according to Delhi Police sources. He has been wanted in several cases, including the murder of businessman Sachin Munjal in Gurugram in March. Vishal is believed to be associated with gangster Rohit Godara, who claimed responsibility for Munjal’s murder through a purported social media post. Rohit Godara is an associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, along with his brother Anmol and Goldy Barar.

Police sources revealed that shortly after the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s residence on Sunday, Anmol Bishnoi took responsibility for the event through an online post. Anmol warned the Bollywood actor, referring to it as a mere trailer.

Identification of Vishal was made possible through CCTV footage, which allowed the police to ascertain his involvement. Initially, the police did not take Anmol’s Facebook post seriously, but upon identifying the shooters through CCTV, they concluded that Vishal alias Kalu was the one who fired shots at Salman Khan. Vishal, associated with Rohit Godara’s gang, was also involved in the recent murder of Sachin Goda in Rohtak, the responsibility for which was claimed through social media.

The two assailants had been evading arrest since Sachin’s murder in Rohtak. During this time, they were ordered to carry out the firing at Salman Khan’s residence, with two main motives: firstly, to remind Salman Khan of the reach of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and secondly, to extort hefty sums from Mumbai’s affluent. Security agencies suspect that the mention of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s name in the Facebook post following the firing was aimed at asserting dominance and dispelling Dawood’s influence in Mumbai. Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, by orchestrating the firing at superstar Salman’s residence, is eyeing a significant share of Mumbai’s extortion market.

Police also believe that the reason for the assailants to confess after such a major incident is their presence abroad, where the long arm of the law cannot easily reach them. Gangsters know that they can easily recruit young men for their gangs and use them to settle scores with their enemies. The lure of carrying out major crimes without hesitation is what motivates today’s youth.

Last year in March, Salman Khan’s office received a threatening email, following which Mumbai Police filed an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Barar, and another under IPC section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) among other sections. An FIR was lodged based on a complaint by Prashant Gunjalcar to Bandra Police. According to the police, Gunjalcar often visits Khan’s Bandra residence and runs an artist management company.

Police had previously stated that an unidentified individual had threatened Salman Khan via a letter in June 2022.
