The Gruesome Discovery

The victim, Mamta (20), daughter of Sukhvinder Singh, was found hanging in their New Basti Patelnagar home. Initially thought to be suicide, suspicions arose when the mother claimed she had single-handedly lowered her daughter’s body.

Unraveling the Truth

SSP Ajay Singh stated that upon deeper investigation, it was discovered that Mamta had caught her mother, Harpreet, in a compromising position with their neighbor, Nitin, a few days before the murder. The daughter had threatened to expose their affair to her father and others.

The Fatal Plan

Inspector KK Lunthi of Patelnagar revealed that Harpreet and Nitin conspired to eliminate Mamta. They strangled her and staged the scene to appear as suicide, attempting to cover up their heinous crime.

This wasn’t the first time Mamta had discovered her mother’s infidelity. A similar incident had occurred earlier, causing family disputes. At that time, Harpreet had promised to end the affair, temporarily resolving the conflict.
