Munnawar Faruqui, the popular comedian-turned-reality star, has been the talk of the town ever since his victory in the latest season of Big Boss 17. With his immense fan following and growing popularity, speculations have been rife about his potential foray into the world of politics. In a recent viral video, Munnawar himself addressed the rumors and shared his stance on the matter.
When asked if political parties have approached him to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Munnawar chuckled and said that this was not the right place to discuss such matters. However, when further probed about his plans to join politics, Munnawar categorically stated, “No, I’m not at all interested.”
It’s worth noting that Munnawar has had his fair share of legal troubles in the recent past. A few days ago, he was detained by the police from a hookah bar in Mumbai. Prior to that, in 2021, he was arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments during a stand-up comedy show and spent 27 days in jail before being granted bail.
Despite these challenges, Munnawar’s fan base has only grown stronger, and his popularity continues to soar. Interestingly, there are rumors that he might be seen as a contestant on the upcoming season of the adventure reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. However, neither the makers nor Munnawar himself have made any official statement regarding his participation.
