Reuters reported that a powerful earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter Scale shook Northern India, including Delhi-NCR, last night. The tremors were felt in several other countries such as Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with the epicenter being located in Afghanistan.

Fearing potential danger, panicked residents were witnessed walking out of their houses as the tremors shook the region. Social media has been inundated with images and videos shared by news outlets and individuals capturing glimpses of the earthquake from yesterday.

Earthquake Light, or EQL for short, is a luminous aerial phenomenon that can be observed as eerie balls of light or glowing in the sky due to tectonic plate movements or volcanic eruptions. People in Delhi were left puzzled yesterday as they witnessed purple, blue, and green glow in the sky, which is believed to be an occurrence of EQL.
