Man, who died 8yrs ago, gets notice for not wearing seat belt in 2019

The transport department in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district has allegedly issued a notice to cancel the driving licence of a man, who died eight years ago, for driving at high speed and without wearing a seat belt last month. The man’s son said his father, who was a utensil seller, never owned a four-wheeler and his licence was valid till 2014.

The family of Rajendra Kasera had got the letter on September 11 in which Kasera has been called to the office of transport department so that due process of cancellation of license can be processed under section 19 of Motor Vehicles Act.

The letter mentioned the driving license number of deceased, but the catch here is that he never owned any car or four-wheeler.

Rajendra Kasera was a utensil seller in Jhalawar and never owned anything except two-wheeler. Now the question arises how the transport department officials moved to cancel the driving licence of a man who died years ago and who never owned a vehicle, more so never a vehicle like truck.
