In today’s digital age, it is rare to find someone who uses a smartphone but stays away from social media. Whether through personal profiles or anonymous accounts, people love to scroll through the endless lanes of the internet to see what is trending. Every day, countless videos and photos are uploaded, and some manage to grab everyone’s attention. One such video is currently going viral on social media, showing a man’s unfortunate encounter with a scam that will leave you both amused and shocked.
The viral video captures a moment that serves as a cautionary tale for anyone looking for deals that seem too good to be true. In the clip, a person is heard saying, “Friends, my friend has bought a phone for just 4,000 rupees. We are going to unbox it today. He bought it just today from IFFCO Chowk.” The excitement is palpable as they examine the device. The narrator continues, “Okay, it is hanging a bit, but everything else seems fine. The camera is also good.”
However, the situation takes a hilarious yet tragic turn when the man tries to switch on the phone. When the device refuses to power up despite multiple attempts, he decides to remove the back cover to check what might be wrong. The moment the cover comes off, the reality of the scam is laid bare. It turns out that there was no phone at all. Instead, the scammers had simply cut a piece of glass in the shape of a mobile phone and pasted a paper resembling the back body of a phone behind it, hiding the entire “jugaad” under a phone cover.
