Ravindra Jadeja, known for his wit and charm, is well aware of the pulse of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans. They understand that when an IPL match is happening at the iconic Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, there’s no bigger star for the crowd than MS Dhoni. Every fan wants to witness MS Dhoni on the field, especially when he’s batting.

In a crucial IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders, CSK was in a strong position. With Shivam Dube getting out in the 17th over, CSK needed just 3 runs to win. Even if any batsman came in, CSK was assured of victory. However, the fans were eagerly waiting for Dhoni… Dhoni’s voice was echoing everywhere, even though no wicket had fallen. As Shivam Dube got out, once again the chant for Dhoni… Dhoni… Dhoni… filled the stadium. Just before Dhoni came in to bat, Ravindra Jadeja decided to pull a prank with thousands of CSK fans.

Jadeja stepped out of the dressing room before Dhoni and attempted to show the fans that it wasn’t Dhoni but him who was going in to bat.

Jadeja even crossed the dugout but quickly retreated. If Jadeja had taken a few more steps forward, he would have surely angered the Chennai crowd. However, soon MS Dhoni, wearing his helmet and holding the bat, marched onto the field, and the roar heard in the stadium was nothing less than a tsunami. When Dhoni reached the crease to bat, the noise meter recorded 125db, which can be extremely harmful to human ears. Nevertheless, the match concluded shortly, and CSK emerged victorious. Dhoni scored one run off three balls.
