The cricketing rivalry between India and Pakistan is widely regarded as the most intense, with players from both teams often engaging in fiery verbal altercations during matches.
According to TOI, Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar recently caught up at the Legends League Cricket Masters and reminisced about old times.
During their conversation, Akhtar recalled the moment when he hit several sixes against Harbhajan during the 2006 Faisalabad Test. However, Harbhajan was quick to point out that he didn’t engage in any sledging after being hit. Harbhajan also reminisced about how he had a dominant performance against Akhtar during the 2010 Asia Cup match.
“I remember in Faisalabad, he was bowling really well, and then I hit him for two sixes!” Akhtar exclaimed.
“I didn’t say anything to you when you hit those two sixes, but when I hit a six against you, you had a lot to say!” Harbhajan retorted.
“Do you want me to reveal what you said? You were the one who started it,” Akhtar retorted.
“I didn’t start it. He just got upset because he couldn’t believe I hit a six against him!” Harbhajan said.
In a playful gesture, Akhtar then lightly hit Harbhajan, prompting the latter to joke, “When he can’t win an argument, he resorts to physical violence.”
The humorous exchange between the two former adversaries was a delightful trip down memory lane for cricket fans, guaranteed to leave them in stitches.
