Afghanistan secured a second T20I victory against Pakistan by 7 wickets, shortly after their first historic win. This triumph not only gave them a 2-0 lead in the series but also ensured a monumental series win.

This victory is beneficial for cricket since Afghanistan is demonstrating that they are no longer underdogs but a significant threat, particularly in this format.

According to TOI, captain Rashid Khan expressed that it is a tremendous privilege and joy to lead this fantastic team.

Furthermore, he added that the team made an excellent effort with the ball and persevered until the end to secure the victory.

He also stated that he believed 130 was a competitive total, and the team aimed to take the game to the final overs and win. The strategy was to take individual responsibility and utilize the skills of players like Nabi and Najib to finish the match successfully.

Afghanistan nearly defeated Pakistan by a single wicket in the 2022 Asia Cup, and although they couldn’t quite get over the line then, they had put Pakistan on the edge. However, this time around, Afghanistan not only managed to get to the brink but succeeded in finishing the job twice within a day.

If they manage to achieve a clean sweep, it would be even better.
